Lumen Built is an independent Austin design and development studio. We assemble focused teams around the work, inviting trusted subcontractors when an engagement requires additional capacity or specialized expertise. Some assignments are short and clearly bounded; others continue through design, development, launch, and ongoing improvement.

UX/UI Designers

Seeking independent UX/UI specialists who can clarify requirements, map workflows, build prototypes, and design accessible interfaces.

Experience with the following, or equivalent:

  • Design & Prototyping: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
  • Interactive Frameworks: Principle, Axure RP, Framer
  • Accessibility & Hand-off: WCAG compliance, Stark, Zeplin

Mobile App Developers

Design and build polished native or cross-platform applications for iOS and Android. Strong collaborators can translate product intent into stable releases and are comfortable with APIs, testing, accessibility, performance, deployment.

Experience with the following, or equivalent:

  • Frameworks & Languages: Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native
  • APIs & Backend: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Firebase, Supabase
  • Testing & Deployment: CI/CD pipelines, TestFlight, Google Play Console

Web Application and Dashboard Developers

Build responsive web applications, internal tools, and data-rich dashboards that make complex information easier to understand and act on.

Experience with the following, or equivalent:

  • Frontend & Dashboards: React, Vue.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Data Visualization: D3.js, Chart.js, Highcharts, Recharts
  • State & Backend: Redux, TanStack Query, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs

AI Integration Engineers

Integrate model APIs, retrieval, automation, and agentic workflows into useful products. Qualified specialists should understand evaluation, tool use, permissions, data handling, observability, cost, failure behavior, and the human review points that keep an AI-enabled workflow dependable.

Experience with the following, or equivalent:

  • AI Frameworks & APIs: LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vLLM
  • Orchestration & Workflows: LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, n8n
